WET
Wet the eraser with clean water.

Press it flat between your palms to push the water out. Do not twist or wring it like a cloth.

Wipe the mark with light pressure. Let the foam do the work, not your arm.

Rinse it, press it out again, and stand it somewhere it can air dry.

Why does it fall apart as I use it?
Because that is how it cleans. Just like a pencil eraser, a little of the foam rubs off along with the mark. If it stayed the same size, it would not be cleaning anything.
Big stains and rough surfaces use it up faster. Think of it like a pencil eraser, not a sponge you keep for months.
One thing does tear it early: twisting or wringing it like a cloth. Press it flat between your palms instead.
What can it clean?
Pen, pencil and crayon marks on walls with matt emulsion paint. Scuff marks on the rubber sides of sneakers and sports shoes. Oil, chai, coffee and soap stains on tiles. Marks on switchboards, kitchen surfaces and bathroom fittings.
Simply put, it works on marks that sit on top of a surface.
What can it not clean?
Permanent marker. Also stains that have soaked deep inside, like colour in old grout, oil in raw wood, or old patches on unpainted plaster.
The eraser only cleans the top of a surface. If the stain has gone inside, rubbing harder will not help. It will only use up the eraser faster.
Does it really work with just water?
Yes. It cleans by gently rubbing the mark away, not with soap, so water is all it needs.
The one secret is how much water. The foam soaks up a lot, and a dripping eraser just slides around and spreads the dirt. Press out almost all the water before you start. Damp, not wet.

Is it safe around children and pets?
Keep it out of reach of children and pets, and do not use it on skin. It is a cleaning tool, not a toy. As it wears down it breaks into small bits, so keep those away from little hands too.
Can I cut it into smaller pieces?
Yes, with scissors or a knife. A small piece gets into tile joints, window sliding tracks and the corners of a switchboard, and you use less eraser on a small mark. It works just the same.
Should I use a separate eraser for the bathroom and the kitchen?
Yes. Just like you keep the bathroom cloth separate from the kitchen one. The foam holds on to the dirt it picks up until you rinse it.
Rinse and press it out after every use, and keep it standing somewhere it can dry, not lying wet in a soap dish. With four in a box it is easy: keep one only for the bathroom.
How should I store it between uses?
Rinse it, press the water out between your palms, and keep it standing somewhere with air around it.
The foam holds a lot of water, so if it lies flat in a closed box it stays wet. Press it, do not twist or wring it, because twisting is what tears it.

Four erasers, each 11 x 7 x 2 cm, in a recyclable card box. That is all you need. No bottle, no spray, no refill to buy later.
